Prkn privacy policy

Last updated

Prkn is an unofficial app for paying parking tickets in the UAE. It is built to do its job without asking you for an account. This page explains how the app works with your information.

No money is taken by the app

This application does not deduct any money directly from you. Instead, it prepares an SMS message that you send to the official parking service, which deducts the parking fee and SMS charge from your mobile balance.

The app never sees or stores card or bank details, because it is not the party charging you.

What you enter stays with you

Your plate numbers and preferences are entered by you and kept for your own use in the app on your device. The app assumes that you have entered your car number correctly and you remain responsible for verifying it.

There is no account to create and no sign in.

Your SIM and your operator

To use this app, your device must have an active UAE SIM card with sufficient balance from e& (Etisalat) or du. The parking message is sent from your own number, so your operator and the parking authority handle it exactly as they would any message you send yourself.

After you pay a parking ticket through the app, you should always verify the confirmation message sent by the government entity responsible for parking.

Location and sharing

If you use the My Location feature, the app can share your location through WhatsApp to a number you choose, and you can save locations such as home or work for reuse. This happens when you ask for it.

Advertising

The app does not show advertising.

Changes

The developer reserves the right to modify, add, or remove content in the app at any time without notice. If this page changes, the updated version appears here with a new date.
